Happy New Years Eve and 31 Day Challenge!!

Hello everyone!

Wow I can't believe that 2012 is right around the corner! This past year was trying at times and the best thing was that I always had Jesus to turn to for help. I hope that you've all made so many cherished memories with your families and friends over the holidays!

There will be alot of changes in the coming year for me, starting with a 31 Day Challenge throughout the month of January. What I'll be doing is making a video each day about anything from crafting to an outing with my hubby. I've never done anything like this before and I'm gonna do all I can to complete it! I've seen many videos regarding a 31 Day Challenge and I thought, I wonder if I could do it? Wish me luck!!

Have a wonderful New Year and blessings to you all in 2012!!

Guest Designer Lala-Palooza

Hello Everyone!

My name is Lisa from My Pulelehua Inspirations and I am so excited to be a Guest Designer on Alex's blog, You Had Me At Craft! Thank you so much Alex for this awesome opportunity!

My love of jewelry making came about 5 years ago. I bought a new outfit, but couldn't find the right accessories. That day I went with whatever I had in my jewelry box, not very happy either. Then the search on how to make jewelry began. Let's just say that now no matter what outfit I choose to wear, I ALWAYS have the perfect accessory! Lately, I've been getting into the vintage look and here's what I've created to share with you.

I've used antiqued metal chains, jump rings, head pins, necklace findings, earring findings, and charms from Blue Moon Beads. The paper used for the charms are from Graphic45-Curtain Call to which I applied Glossy Accents over to create a shiny protective seal. The flowers are from I Am Roes and I also used the Glossy Accents to adhere it to a 'doughtnut' piece which is attatched to the chain. I added ribbon from Offray in Oatmeal just to give it a little something extra. The beads used were from a mixed bag I got years ago. And to finish it off, I added a butterfly charm to the necklace finding. Why a butterfly? Well, Pulelehua is how you'd say buttefly in Hawaiian and it's part of my blog:)

I want to thank you for taking the time to read my post! If you'd like to see more of what I do, please visit my blog!

I found so many tutorials on how to make this fun mini on YouTube. Some people are so creative and I love it because it teaches me to think out of the box!!

Whoops! For some reason this one is rotated the wrong way, sorry!!
Anyway, I made this for a special little girl who just became a big sister and since I made a mini for him, I wanted to do a special one for her. You can check in the archives for the mini I did for him!

My Creations #2

Here are other things that I enjoy making!! I saw someone making and Easter Tag for a swap she was in and I decided to try my hand at one or two...hehe!!

I love this quote!! I had to grab it when I saw it!!

Mother's Day Mini Album I made for my mom.

Accordian Mini Albums I made for my niece and nephews!!

Mini Pizza Box

I made 3x3 mini cards and envelopes to put inside of the pizza box!!

My first layout in years!! I think it needs more bling!!

My niece just had a baby boy and I decided to make him a mini album. I've never done one with rings before and this is my first boy album!! It was so difficult to find the right embellishments for it. But I think it turned out okay.

Now this one I made for my sister in law's friend. It wasn't too hard to bling it up!!lol

Well I hope you've enjoyed another look into my creative world!! Have a blessed day!!
